These are just some general guidelines for conduct here at Naught but Humble.
The Rules:
*Don't be rude:
Bashing, flaming, trolling and any other fancy Board word for 'being a jerk' will not be tolerated. Sarcasm and quips are more than appreciated, but there is a line between harmless poking-fun and hurting someones feelings. Be aware of it at all times. The Admins and Mods will, of course, remind you of it if you fail to play nice.
*Don't be Stupid:
That's right. Competent use of grammar and punctuation is almost required, with a little wiggle room. Correction of typos and that sort of thing will be expected. This isn’t the place for horrible chat lingo and constant one-lined replies. Granted, I’m not looking for winded posts of nothing either, but I’d like at least a decent show of writing skills. And one-liners, though discouraged, can be forgiven. Sometimes a RP just… dies.
No: power-playing, desperate characters, attention whoredom, stupid one-liners, or anything of the like.
*Listen to the Admins and Mods:
Seriously. Their word is law, and it is your job to abide to their rules. Don't worry, I will be monitoring all Mod behavior, as well as all member behavior. It's a two way street: members listen to Mods, Mods don't abuse their power.
*Keep the chatspeak to a minimum:
Type like an idiot and you'll be treated as such.
*Leave off topic chatter where it belongs:
Keep all the OoC talk inside parenthesis or some other form of identification. Having conversations while RPing is completely fine, but just talking in OoC is not. Take it over PMs or to the Off Topic boards if you find yourself having a good conversation with one of your fellow RPers. Any sort of talk is encouraged in the Off Topic boards.
*Monitor your language:
This isn't a children's site, per se, but overly abusive language will not be tolerated. Even inside a RP. I don't think there's much call for it, no matter if 'that's how the character acts'. I expect members to be able to keep themselves in check.
*No spamming:
There is no need to bump threads. Do not double post inside RP boards or in the OoC boards, if you can help it. You will be warned, then suspended, if you continuously post for the sole purpose of raising your post count. Also, do not post in the auditions of others. If you see something wrong in them, PM me. There may be more to what you're seeing than meets the eye, and I won't have accusations flying around.
*Be active:
Please? We will have the occasional 'member clean up', where I (or a Mod, if I'm feeling lazy) will delete any and all inactive members.
* Before you are accepted you are not allowed to post anywhere except the Crew Recruitment board and the Guest Board. Posts anywhere else will be deleted. Guests must post their audition and be accepted -before- creating an account.
* This site is best run on Firefox.
If you make an account before being accepted I will MORE than likely DELETE it if I get tired of seeing it. TELL ME who you are.
