Name: Kelsina Marie Sparrow, prefers Kelsey, however.
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Pirate
Occupation: Hopeful pirate, out on the seas for the first time.
Weapon of Choice: Sword, A British blade pilfered from her father, a Captain in the Royal Navy.
Home Town/Island: Port Royal, Jamacia.
Ship: Aboard the Black Pearl, with her uncle's crew.
Appearance: Kelsey is oddly short, only 5'2", built without the assest of brute strength. But her small physique has the ability to give her a nimble and agile egde. Her hair is a long, wavy blonde, falling a few inches past her shoulders. She usually keeps it tied up and out of her face, just to avoid annoyance. She wears a loose-fitting men's shirt, covered up with a dark green coat accented with gold trim. Brown pants tucked into black boots adorn her lower half, and a navy blue sash is tied around her waist.
Personality: Kelsey is quite the hasty person, very instinctive and impulsive. Though she may be a capricious lass, she is very determined and keeps after something when she thinks it to be in her best interest. Quite the stubborn and narrow-minded one, once Kelsey has her mind wrapped around something there's no changing it, no matter how outrageous it is. On top of all that she happens to be slightly arrogant and overconfident, never afraid of a battle, even when loss is inevitable. She really does have a heart of gold, however, and happens to really care about those close to her. And hates everyone that isn't.
History: Kelsey was born in Port Royal to a rich, snoppy upper-class woman and her Naval Captain husband, who just so happened to be the brother of Jack Sparrow himself. She had always been fascinated with the world of piracy, the stories of her eccentric uncle only feeding the flame. But there was always the problem of her father. The pirate hunter of a man's only dream seemed to be one day seeing his brother hanging from a noose. And he didn't want his precious only daughter to be anywhere near a life of piracy. So he closed her off from it. Forbidding her from leaving the mansion alone, keeping her from playing in the streets with her friends that her father christened 'rats'. As if her life couldn't get any worse, her father brought her news of sinister plans. Kelsey was to be married off to a wealthy, but controlling Naval man. Well, being the free-spirit, Kelsey would hear none of that. So she promptly stole money, and a sword from her father and stowed away aboard the Black Pearl, to follow the one dream so had. But more importantly, to run away.
Roleplay Sample: “Tighten the mainsail!”
Had been the command received by nineteen year-old Kelsina Marie Sparrow quite a while ago. And she had been working on it since. But, for a young woman of a small stature and not much upper body strength, it was a fool’s errand.
Kelsey, small for her age, only came to about 5’2”. She had long, wavy blonde hair that she kept a bright green bandanna around, just for show. The rest of her “ensemble” consisted of a loose fitting, white boy’s shirt, with an emerald green coat over it. Also, she wore brown pants tucked into black boots and a navy blue sash tied around her waist.
On her head was a brown hat, much resembling that of her uncle, Captain Jack Sparrow. Well, it should, since she had pilfered it from her beloved uncle.
Normally, girls Kelsey’s age should not be turning to a life a piracy. But Kelsey was not a normal young woman. All this had started because of the little fact that her father, Captain of the Royal Navy, wanted her to marry a young, wealthy but controlling, respectable Navy man. And freedom-loving Kelsey would have none of that. So, she followed the crazy dream she’d had ever since she was young.
Not that Kelsey wasn’t suited for piracy. Though her strength was lacking, she was nimble and agile. Also, what she lacked in force was made up for in cleverness, even though she had the tendency to be foolishly brave. She could handle a sword as well as any man, even better than some. But, she had learned from the best, Captain Jack Sparrow.
The swift Caribbean wind rushed toward her, blowing up one of her sleeves. She hastily pulled it down, in a severe act of paranoia. See, years earlier she had decided to get a tattoo, just to spite her father. Of course, she had it in a spitting image of her uncle’s own Sparrow tattoo. Well, that little detail wasn’t doing her much good now, and it was a dead giveaway of her identity. No that anyone aboard this ship really cared. But you could never be too careful.
She sighed, blowing on her burning hands. After forcing all her weight on the stupid rope, the sail still hadn’t budged an inch.
“I give up.” She muttered, shaking her head.
