'Excuse me please dear madam' Lestat threw a dashing smile to a large woman that he almost bumped into. Why hadn't he seen her? She was large enough! Lestat may have looked calm - but only through years of dramatical training had he managed this. He heart pounded in his chest. His friend. He had a ship...
Lestat flung open the theater doors and flounced outside into the bight daytime light. He could get to the docks. He could escape to the sea.
'Excuse me sir' Came the brutal voice of a tall, overbearing man. He was a police man. Lestat squirmed. His black heart felt fit to burst. His stormy orbs glanced around looking for any route of possible escape. But not this time... he was backed into a corner.
No escape. Iron bars. A long walk to a short drop. The abyss beyond...
That just couldn't bear thinking about! he would get out of this. he had to. He was Lestat! he took a deep breath and in a forced dashing voice he exclaimed:
'Oh Officer! I think there, must be, some kind of misunderstanding!' The policeman glared.
'You are the famous Lestat are you not?'
'Well...' Lestat smiled-or tried. The policeman's grimace turned into a grin.
'Will you sign this for my daughter? Her name is Clarisse!' Lestat delightedly took the quill he was offered and signed the flapping parchment then handed it back to the policeman, who mumbled thanks.
Lestat bowed 'Delightedly' and trotted casually toward the docks.
